THIS Birdhouse shaped like JOCKET HAT comes from the same collection, we originally had FOUR different HAT BIRDHOUSES. This birdhouse is an AMAZING Original OLD Folk Art HANDMADE & Painted JOCKEY HAT Birdhouse. How bizarre and How Amazing!! All handmade out of metal and painted the Americana colors Red White & Blue. There is a hook on the back meant to be hanging, to look like it was a Hat Hanging on a hook. There is a latch in the back which allows you to clean out the birds nest. This is an Original OLD piece of Folk Art Americana. GREAT for the HORSE RACING Enthusiast. We are estimating the age of this to be between 1910-1940 latest. It almost looks like the artist might have had training in TRADE SIGN making, this hat resembles a trade sign.SIZE & CONDITION: The condition is Excellent with some minor wear to the paint. There are NO dents to the metal anywhere. The hat measures 12" and the main circular shape is 8 1/2" round. See photos for very accurate representation of this item.
