Outstanding Needlepoint Art Original Design & Work by Lena Baldwin, NM Romantic 19th C Style Couple Incredible Artistic Details * * * * * * In the summer of 2004, I had the privilege to meet and "talk textiles" with a wonderful lady who was traveling to do workshops on classical needlepoint. After our kindred interest in fiber was well established, she brought in some of her work. I purchased this item from her directly and have enjoyed it immensely. It is now being offered for sale here. The piece is an original design by Ms. Baldwin and completely worked by her. She told me it took 3 months to complete this project. The stitching is phenomenal! From a few feet back, it looks like a fine painting! The faces and exposed skin areas of the couple are done in fine petit point. The yarns are persian wool. The canvas area of the picture alone is 26 x 23. The border is about 2 inches on each side. Condition is outstanding! This is a lovely heart warming scene and will be stunning in the appropriate frame for your decor.
