"Meeting of the Racers" is a hand-printed signed black and white photograph produced from the original negative, in a traditional wet darkroom. It shows a retired greyhound licking the nose of a retired racehorse at a farm in Massachusetts. The photograph was published first in The Boston Globe in the late 1980s and has become an iconic image for the retired greyhound rescue effort. It has been published again and again all over the world. This makes a really wonderful gift for anyone you know who has adopted, rescued, and loves a greyhound. I have used only the best quality archival matte and backing and have framed the 11x14 inch print in a 16x20 inch frame, in high quality black metal moulding. This is really beautiful. Both the print and the matte are signed by hand "John Mottern". This framed original artwork is top quality and is used on a regular basis as a fund-raising item by rescue organizations and other non-profits. Normally it brings in between $250 and $500 at those auctions. This artwork always sells. I am offering this refined framed, signed, original photograph as an item that I will ship to you or to someone as a gift for you. I will include a hand written card, if it is a gift for someone else, with your greetings. It will be beautifully wrapped by our gallery staff if it is a gift. My guarentee is very simple. If you do not like the photo I will return your money and 100% of all shipping costs. No questions asked. If you have any questions please just ask and I will get back to you asap. Let's all work for peace in the new year. |
