This is a limited edition Giclee on watercolor by Darren Haley called " Heritage Fencerow ". It is an archival, signed and numbered , Giclee on watercolor paper , in mint, perfect condition. It is a signed edition of only 495 signed and numbered . Overall it is has a size of 11 X 7 inches . This is a lovely female Mountain Bluebird, gorgeous piece !! Darren is a superb Canadian artist and like many other wildlife artists influenced in some way by Canadian artist Robert Bateman. Giclee reproduction refers to a specific type of art print reproduction. State of the art digital technology has made it possible to create an art print that is extremely difficult to distinguish from the original painting. Historically , most fine art reproductions were made with offset presses. These are called lithographs. An offset press produces numerous lithographs per minute. In comparison, a modern giclee printer produces only a few per hour. It is ironic that better technology has actually taken us further away from the days of mass production and we have returned to a point where taking more time ensures the greatest quality. There are three substantial differences between giclee and offset lithographs. The four colours with offset has been doubled to 8 with Giclee. The 300 dot's per square inch with offset has risen to over 1400 dots per square inch with Giclee. Finally, the one year without noticeable fading has risen to over a hundred years with Giclee.
